Open Forum debates religion's violent potential
At the Davos Open Forum, FSPC President Thomas Wipf joins religious representatives and experts to debate the question whether religion's claim to truth leads to violence. WCC General Secretary Olav Fykse Tveit encourages churches to promote open dialogue.

FSPC President Thomas Wipf to retire at end of 2010
Thomas Wipf, President of the Council of the Federation of Swiss Protestant Churches FSPC, and four other Council members are to retire when their terms of office finish at the end of 2010. The Assembly of Delegates will elect the new Council in June 2010.

Recognition, discussion and change: the Open Forum Davos
The Open Forum Davos is being held for the eighth time from 28 to 30 January 2010 – parallel to the World Economic Forum. The public are invited to join in discussion with civic, political and business personalities.
